I write this post just to clear the air. Recently, I saw a post that been circulating and shared in social network site especially facebook and through blog posts and it was really annoying. I googled the internet with the keyword “PADERI MELAYU YANG BARU TIBA DARI SINGAPURA BERADA DI SINI SEKARANG – RAZMAN ZAKRI” and was suprised with the search results. Sharing such baseless accusation could cause problem and hatred and that should be avoided.
This is the Caption:

The truth is:
“The 2 priests in the picture are Rev. Fr. Paulus Toni Tantiono OFM Capuchin from Pontianak, Kalimantan and currently teaching Bible Study in Seminari Tinggi Permatang Siantar Sumatera Utara, Indonesia and the other priest standing at his back is Rev. Fr. Nicholas Stephen from Penampang, Sabah and currently serving at St. John’s parish Tuaran, Sabah. Fr. Paulus is a Chinese descendent while Fr. Nicholas Stephen is a Kadazan descendant.“
Does the word Kadazan means anything to you? I’ve mentioned this word in About Me page if you ever had the chance to read it. I’m from Penampang (Same area with him) as well and I can testify that Fr. Nicholas is of a Kadazan Descendant. Indeed, I’ve attended numerous church services (mass) celebrated by him during my teenage year. Another thing that been pointed out in the said article that looks odd for us Christian including
“Mereka Menggunakan Sihir”
Oh gosh.. I believe every religion never teach or approve this kind of thing. Witchcraft or anything like that is a no no for us. Indeed, you will be ex-communicated if you practise those kind of thing.
“Holy Water”
I’ve read lots of version regarding this thing before and fascinated with their imagination. For Christians, Holy Water is merely a water which is blessed by a priest and only for religious purposes only (i.e baptism, blessing of a person and protection against evil). By the way, I never drink Holy Water before but I often use it and sprinkle few drops in my room to cast out any ‘evil’.
My Advise:
For those who have “created” this thing, I advise you to stop spreading this kind of baseless rumor. For those who have been reading this article or any articles before, please do your research and find for solid proof to support the articles before jump into conclusion or you can always ask your Christian friends for clarification of the articles.

got the email circulated last year.. on behalf of all my friends, i’m really sorry for the “blind” circulation.. true, they got freaked out coz the pic looks like a Malay guy, but if one looks closely, one would notice that there are some Borneo features as well.. It’s like you look at one person and knows she’s from Kelantan/ Trengganu or muka orang Johor..
We tend to forget that there are people who looks like a Malay, speaks like a Malay, whose name sounds like a Malay, but they are not Muslim.. never was. Honestly, being Malay does not mean that you are a Muslim, and vice versa.
So, a reminder to me and will advise my friends as well – never judge a picture at first view
Surprisingly they still share the same article through blog and FB with refined version and without photo attached with the article. Well, if the article proven to be wrong, then there is not point to share it over and over again. However, I dont put the blame on the person who shared it since they have no idea about it. But it won’t hurt if they put some effort to do some research before sharing it to their friends right?
To be honest with you, Often I mistaken someone based on physical look and by their name especially in Sabah, but it is not a problem for me at all since religion is a no no when mixing around with them. Again respect each other is the main point here.

As for the content, I know that even though we have cleared the air, people will always come with another version of story.

What? Malay priest? Its a fake! I know the priest in this picture. One of them is Reverend Father Nicholas Stephen from St.John Parish Tuaran, Sabah…He is sabahan…dusun..local…so please who ever do this, stop it. It can cause a bad effect to both religion.

Kekadang yang sebarkan benda ni pun tak tahu sangat apa yang dorang sebarkan.. Salah satu jalan yang terbaik ialah lihat kalau maklumat itu sahih sebelum share dekat orang lain.
