HOTEL FACILITIES
Toojou doesnt have any bathtub or swimming pool (but in case if you need that vitamin sea, you can just book their island hopping tour) but they have few exciting facilities such as the rooftop bar (6th floor), tamaha cafe (ground floor), laundry room (1st floor) and entertainment space (1st floor).
Co-working space
A very much essential need for digital nomad is having their desk while travelling. Coming Toojou Social Space, you’ll definitely be pampered by the Opis co-working space featuring best contemporary design, comfortable working space and open for houseguest and everyone (Daily, weekly and monthly pass based on your need and it comes with access to the kitchen where you can unleash your barista’s skill). Opis co-working is located at 1st floor of the hotel and it has slider to give you quick access to tamaha cafe if you need to fuel up.
STAFF
Staffs from the front office department up to the cafe staffs are friendly and it reflects the Malaysian Hospitality. They do not mind to greet you with sincere smile and attend to all your questions.
RESTAURANT
Tamaha Café
Located at ground floor of Toojou, Tamaha café opens daily from 8.00am to 11.00pm and featuring modern traditional fusion for foodies and coffee lovers.
Tamu bar
Located at roof top and opens daily from 4.00pm -1.00am, Tamu bar is place to mingle around with fellow travellers and other digital nomad and oh, it is an absolutely perfect space to unwind after a long tiring day.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
Toojou Social Hostel is located in a strategic place with few notable landmarks such as Malls, bars, food center and even historical places. I love the lobby setting, it is kind of cool and fun and I think you will probably only be seeing this at Toojou Social Space.
Staffs were great and doesnt mind to tour us around and share with us story about painting on the staircase’s wall (Yes, you need to see all the painting on each of floor – it was done by talented local artists).
Rooms are equipped with Universal socket with USB Charging and you do not have to worry to bring one if you are travelling to Sabah and staying in this hotel.
