Do you need cakes for a wedding, an engagement, a birthday, or another special occasion? I’m sure most of you have heard about kak Kiah cake and coffee house, the well-known cake shop in Kota Kinabalu.
I’d never tasted a cake from this shop before, but I’d heard nothing but good things about it. I’m not going to discuss the service or the employees because I’m only interested in their menu.
I went to the nearest and newest branch on their list, Plaza 333 (at Jalan Pintas Penampang), also known as Kobusak Commercial Centre, out of curiosity, and we had an Oreo cheesecake (which is only RM10.60 per small container). I’m not a lover of cheesecake, but their variation of oreo cheesecake is delicious, not too sugary, and reasonably priced.
I believe they decided to create another branch in Plaza 333, Kobusak Commercial Centre owing to high demand, particularly from Penampang. Kak Kiah cake and the coffee house, which began in Papar on October 25, 2008, now has four outlets on Sabah’s west coast (Papar, Putatan, Kingfisher, and Plaza 333 Kobusak) and sells a range of cakes, pastries, and pies.
Let’s have a peek at some of their menu items and their new Plaza 333 location.
My Verdict
It is a comfortable and roomy area to gather with family and friends, and they serve a broad variety of cakes, pastries, and other dishes at a fair price.

Shop Location
Kak Kiah Cake and Coffee House can easily found in Plaza 333. It is only adjacent to Watson and beneath My Office Cafe. Plaza 333’s lone shop with a pink wall and graffiti. Still not sure where this location is? Why not take Grab and pin it to Pick and Pay Plaza 333, which is only a few steps away.
